How to Hide Photos on iPhone in Photos App

Photos app allows the user to hide the photos and videos on the Hidden folder of Photos app. This is how you can move your photos in Hidden folder:

  • Open Photos app.
  • Click on the Album tab.
  • Click Select on the top-right side.
  • Choose Photos and Videos to hide.
  • Press the Share icon.
  • Select Hide in the Share Sheet tab.
  • Confirm the command to hide the selected photos and videos.

View Hidden Photos and Videos:

  • Open Photos app.
  • Choose the Album tab.
  • Press on the Hidden album.

Unhide Photos and Videos:

  • Open the hidden photo or video.
  • Click the Share icon.
  • Click Unhide.

How to Hide Photos on iPhone in Notes Application

If you want your photos and videos to be protected by a secured password, then you can add it to the Notes app. You can add videos and photos in the individual notes along with the sketches and scanned documents. Here in the Notes app, you can set up a Touch ID or Face ID lock. 

Add Photos and Videos on Notes App

  • Open Notes application.
  • Open the note or folder where you want to add your photos and videos.
  • Or click the New Note icon at the bottom.
  • Choose the Camera icon.
  • Choose the Photo Library option.

How to Lock Notes App

Set a password on Notes application:

  • Open Notes app.
  • Open an existing created note or create a new one.
  • Click on the three-dots.
  • Click Lock Note.
  • Type a Password, and it will be the same for iPad, iPhone and Mac.
  • Type the same password again for confirmation.
  • Switch to Face ID or Touch ID for fast unlocking.
  • Click Done once everything is finished.

Enable the Passwords from Settings:

  • Open Settings.
  • Slide Down and press Notes.
  • Click on the Passwords option.
  • Type a Password for your entire notes on every device including Mac, iPad and iPhone.
  • Type the password one more time.
  • Choose the Touch Face ID or Touch ID to unlock the notes quickly.
  • Click Done once everything is finished.

If you set Face ID or Touch ID process instead of typing passcode to unlock the notes, you’ll be able to unlock them more quickly and conveniently.

What’s great about Notes app is that it asks for an additional password to access the notes. So ultimately if anyone unlocks the master lock, they’ll still need to type the Notes app lock to access the data.
